One of our newest cattle sites is now online for all to see!
I had the pleasure of working with Pastor Donn Jibben on the new site for Jibben Polled Herefords. Although Donn felt his calling to ministry close to 20 years ago, he still enjoys the Hereford cattle industry. (Check out the HISTORY page for more info - it's an inspiring and interesting story!)
Be sure to also check out the Herd Bull Alley page for information on JPH's present herdd bull - Ontime! He would be an excellent, powerhouse sire for your 2008 calves.
There was some initial confusion with the site's photos, but Donn was extremely helpful and we eventually got everything straightened out.
Visit jibbenpolledherefords.com now to read about Donn's fascinating story and to iew some of the great pictures he has accumulated over the years!

What makes The Coffee Barn so different? |
|
New Business Website |

Coffee tastes different from year to year, country to country, farm to farm, and from hillside to hillside. Armed with that knowledge, several years ago The Coffee Barn went in search of a perfect cup of coffee, and found that good coffee comes from the finest beans, roasted fresh to the coffee drinker’s taste.
Most of the local roasters purchase their coffee with low price as the most important factor. At The Coffee Barn, their emphasis is on purchasing the best possible bean from the best plantations around the world, relying on the quality of the coffee as our most important factor. Additionally, most local roasters roast the coffee to the way the roaster likes it best. Why buy coffee roasted to the way someone else likes it? Buy coffee to the way YOU like it. The Coffee Barn developed a system to identify the coffee that YOU like and are able to roast it to YOUR liking time after time. The Coffee Barn also found out that local roasters did not sell all the coffee they roasted the same day that they roasted it. Coffee is the freshest 24 hours after it is roasted. To buy coffee several days or weeks old is fresher than what you buy at a supermarket, but stale coffee is still stale coffee. The Coffee Barn never roasts one bean until it is sold. They deliver it or ship it to you the very same day. Doing it our way assures you of getting your coffee at its peak flavor. For a fresh roasted change, try The Coffee Barn's coffee and truly enjoy coffee the way YOU like it!

What's a banner ad, you ask? A graphic image used on websites to advertise a product or service. Let EDJE help you create an interactive advertisement at the top of our directories. We can showcase your company or promote an upcoming event and link it to your webpage. With the high cost of publication advertising and readership declining, it makes sense to use a banner advertising campaign that will increase traffic to your company’s website. Plus, EDJE can provide viewer result reports on the daily, monthly and annual clicks on your banner ad.

Hello my fellow readers. I am very excited that summer has finally arrived! There is nothing more satisfying than the aroma of freshly cut grass, lilac bushes and backyard barbeques.
Along with all of the satisfying aromas that summer brings it also brings summer time events and activities. I have lived in Des Moines, Iowa my entire life and one thing is for certain, Des Moines is really making a name for itself! Not only is Des Moines growing but it is emerging into a City that is great for people of all ages!
Some of my favorite places to go in Des Moines are; Gray’s Lake, Des Moines Science Center, Principal Park, InPlay (on a rainy afternoon), The Des Moines Art Center, Archivers, Jordan Creek Marketplace, The Royal Mile and many other places.
Some events that are going on right now and that are coming up in the near future are: the Des Moines Farmers Market, which is fabulous! Another favorite annual event of mine is the Des Moines Arts Festival. Now celebrating its 10th year, the Des Moines Arts Festival is the 3rd best fine arts festival in America. If you are from Des Moines that is something to be very proud of, I am!
I just went to the Hy-Vee Triathlon, which was very exciting to watch. I give a lot of credit to those athletes that can compete in such an enduring sport. The crowds were great and very encouraging. It was a great event to attend and if you missed out this year you should mark it in your calendar to attend next year!
There is also the Big Country Bash, Winefest, Iowa Games, Concerts at Wells Fargo Arena, The Des Moines Symphony, The Civic Center, Temple of Performing Arts, Iowa State Fair, Iowa Night Life and these are just a few of the many exciting things to do around Des Moines.
So if you are from Des Moines or planning to visit you do not have to look hard to find something to do. I hope you all have an exciting summer and enjoy it as much as I will!
Feel free to let me know what is going on in your neighborhood!

Homemade products right off the farm |

Shortly after I started here ten months ago, I took over the updates for Willow Ridge Farms. I quickly started building a relationship with the Cherie Faktor, and before long, she was trusting me to do whatever I wanted with her website. Cherie and I were talking on the phone one day and we got to talking about her show booth display. I had some experience in designing show booth displays, so I was curious as to what banners or signage she was currently using. When I found out she didn't have anything, I knew she needed my help. The current look to her site she had for awhile, and I will admit it, I really wanted to give her a new image, one that would fit what she does and make her product look great in her booth, online, and possibly on a store shelf. It was a no-brainer to me; she needed a primitive country look. Later I found out this was what she had in mind from the beginning, but didn't know how to explain what she was wanting.
So we were off. Cherie told me to go ahead and design a banner for her show booth. I worked my magic (her words, not mine :) and got her a look she loved. At the same time, she was adding candles to her website. She was using a plain label, which was informative, but didn't really show the quality of the product, or the feeling she wanted to portray. With a little convincing, she cleared me do design a label that matched the banner. I even got the candle with it’s new label on the banner! By this time, I was getting excited. Cherie was finally getting a look that fit her product, fit her personality, and most of all, looked great. I even did a generic card she could wrap around her soaps, scarves, socks and snuggle buddies. But one thing was missing. Her website. When Cherie stopped in to pick up her banner, we were looking at her site and she just said, "Do it. Redesign it." I was elated! I already had the artwork ready, all there was to do was pull it all together and post it. Now that her website is redesigned, I am gearing up to redesign the rest of her corporate identity, which will be a piece of cake since I know the colors, fonts and usages of her logo to keep it all consistent. No matter how large or small a company, this is an example of how having one designer for all your needs can save time, money, effort and headaches. Using EDJE allowed Cherie to pass all the responsibilities to one person, and she didn’t have to worry about sending files to various people, and end up being the “in between.” We are really all you need.

Maine-Anjou Association Has A New Look!!! |

New Websites |

Greetings All!!
EDJE Technologies recently aquired a large project that was placed onto two of its designers, Tiffany Summy and Carlos Mosqueda. This was a major undertaking for these designers and all the hard work paid off. The American Maine Anjou Association has a new look! Along with the fresh new look, the Web site is designed to easily access the department or item of your choice. In the American Maine Anjou Association you will be able to navigate your way to the Maine Anjou Voice as well as the Junior Maine Anjou Association. All sites are designed with a similar look and feel. We were able to work with Kyla Nesheim from the Maine Anjou Voice. It was a pleasure to meet her and work with her. Please make sure to stop and check out these site. Enjoy! Carlos Mosqueda EDJE Technologies carlos@edje.com Web Designer 515.961.9799 | 1.866.839.3353 |
