The Catholic Tuition Organization : Helping Make Catholic Education More Affordable |
|
New Business Website |
|

Today I finished a redesign for the Catholic Tuition Organization. The CTO provides scholarship money for students to attent Catholic schools, who otherwise wouldn't have the funds to attend.
Donations to the CTO are used to provide tuition assistance to families whose children attend Iowa accredited non-public schools and whose income falls at or below three hundred percent of the poverty rate. The Catholic Tuition Organization will give at least ninety percent of the money collected to eligible families.
A financial contribution to the Catholic Tuition Organization will give the donor an Iowa tax credit and the gift of knowing they helped to make a Catholic education available to many children who previously did not have the opportunity to attend the school of their choice.

Showboxin It!!! |
|
Print Team |
|
Monday 22nd of September 2008 04:19 PM |
| |
Well, It’s that time of the month again…Showbox Time that is or “Showboxin It” as I have lovingly ter med it! Here at EDJE, I am the point person for the Showbox Magazine (Official Publication for the Texas Club Calf Association, Texas Club Pig Association, Texas Club Lamb Association, Texas Club Meat Goat Association, and the Georgia Club Calf Producers Association) so every month about this time, I have been known to not get up from my desk for days at a time (may be a dramatization), buzz Shari with questions until she is ready to take her phone off the hook, and yell out random things when certain fonts don’t match up or when I can’t find a picture that I know is somewhere on my computer but that stupid Paper Clip keeps telling me it can’t find it!! Wait, where are my manners? I should probably start with introductions…I’m Hayley Carraway, originally from Utica, MS, I started working for EDJE on the Print Team in July by way of Montana, where I was the manager of Communications for the Montana Stockgrowers Association. I moved “Out West” after graduating from Mississippi State University with a Bachelors in Animal and Dairy Science with a minor in Ag Business and a Masters in Agriculture Information Science and Education with a minor in Communications. After three years of experienc ing the Wild West, this Southern girl had her fill, and decided to give the Midwest a whirl!! So far, I have seen a whole lot of corn and this week have come to realize that harvest is an extremely intense production and if you choose to talk to your fiancé during this undetermined amount of time he will be on a tractor, fixing a tractor, or somewhere near a tractor! Now don’t get me wrong, there are cattle, hogs, and soybeans here too, but the corn has most definitely taken the spot that the Montana Mountains had previously occupied! You still can’t order grits at any eating establishment but at least you can get Sweet Tea at McDonalds...not like Momma makes but it will have to suffice! Now where was I? Oh yes, The Showbox! This publication is based in Crockett, Texas and averages about 180 pages an issue, about 90% advertisement! The circulation is around 6,500. My job is to layout the magazine and design any ads as needed…this is the fun part! So I guess the point of this whole blog was to get you to check out the Showbox Online, so don’t let my efforts go unnoticed…. http://theshowboxmagazineonline.com:80/flashmagazine.php?catid=2 The October Issue will be up soon!! |

Erin's Throw Up Desk! |

EDJE Fun |

Apparently a Hawkeye threw up on Erin's Desk! Iowa plays Iowa State tomorrow, so the office is having a tailgate day! All I have heard about since starting work here at EDJE, is the rivalry between the two teams. Being a faithful Mississippi State graduate, I understand the rivalry and opted to cheer for the Land Grant University (Go Cyclones!) This would make me the sixth Iowa State fan in the whole office...maybe from now on, the hiring process should include a question concerning team affiliation!

EDJE Online Sale Catalogs |
|
Cattle Team Happenings |
|
Monday 8th of September 2008 10:47 AM |
| |
It’s that time of year again! The weather is changing; the leaves will soon be changing, and finally, its football season!
Along with the fall season come many outstanding cattle sales, and what better way to promote these sales than to showcase the cattle and all of their information in an EDJE Online Sale Catalog. At EDJE, we can take the PDF of your sale catalog and make some magic! The designers at EDJE copy and paste all of the footnotes, EPDs and descriptions from your catalog and place them in an online database that generates our EDJE "Sort & Search" view. In this view, prospective buyers can take a look at the cattle in your sale before they ever step foot in your sale barn! The lots are searchable by sire name, EPDs, consignors and more. EDJE then takes that same PDF and creates our stunning "Dynamic" view. By "dynamic" we simply mean that the pages actually flip just like you were holding the sale catalog in your hands. With this view you get to see EXACTLY what the catalog looks like, and again, way before even going to the sale. If you haven't seen this view, you should really check it out! You get both the "Sort & Search" and "Dynamic" views when you purchase an EDJE Online Catalog! EDJE is revolutionizing the way catalogs are viewed online! If you are interested in EDJE Online Sale Catalogs, please click here or go to http://www.edjesales.com/ to view upcoming sales and catalogs we have completed. If you would like information of all of our EDJE products, please visit our website: www.edje.com. |

Midwest Beef Producer |
|
New Business Website |
|
Thursday 4th of September 2008 03:54 PM |
| |
Midwest Beef Producer is a key source of production information for the commercial beef industry in the upper Midwestern states. It is published eight times a year to coincide with important management decisions made by area producers. The Commercial Cow/Calf & Seedstock Directory in the fall and the Bull Buyers Guide in the winter are supplemental directories. Readers use these multi-breed directories for market information and the genetics available through specific sales of breeding stock. Because of the strong influence of Angus cattle, we also publish the Midwest Angus News as a breed specific newsletter to reach breeders and commercial calf/calf operators with Angus cattle. The Midwest Beef Producer is the publication of choice to track new trends and events in the beef industry or reach the commercial operator or breeder with a specific sales message or product announcement. The magazine offers a unique mix of production information, reference directories and an enhanced website presence to effectively and economically reach your target audience.
