It always feels great to get a site published that will help out a community. That was the case with the Martensdale-St. Marys Community Schools website.
Martensdale- St. Marys is a small school district in Central Iowa. The sales person, TJ, went to Martensdale-St. Marys Schools growing up, so this project took on a more personal level. To say that they got an upgrade with the new site would be an understatement. The new site has added many dynamic features they didn't have before, like The Daily Dose. They can now send out instant, up to date information to the community right on the homepage. Also added was Blue Devil Space, where teachers and staff and send out their own messages to students, share photos and even videos. I had a great time working on the M-St M website, and I hope that the community will enjoy it as well! |

If you are a trains enthusiast, enjoy history or just want to take some unique Iowa countryside photos, I have the perfect solution for you, Trains on the Farm.
Francis Edecker is touring the Cedar Valley with groups to take them to the little known areas of Iowa with a history of trains. Francis worked as track inspector and safety instructor for the Iowa Northern Railway for 23 years, so he really knows his stuff. He can give you insight and knowledge that you won't find in any book at the library. His experience is hands on and one of a kind. You don't have to take a tour to step back in time, you can opt to just do an On the Farm tour, and visit the depot and the Railroad Artifacts Museum. It houses several model train setups, full size railroad artifacts and pictures from a railroad disaster in the Cedar Valley. It comes with any guided tour, or you can opt to just visit the farm. Whichever tour you choose, be sure to check out the new Trains on the Farm website. Do you have any train stories? Share them in the comments below! |

Hello There! I thought I’d put down the iron for a bit and try this new thing they call blogging. I’ve heard about it from some of the ladies at church. I wasn’t quite sure about it at first, but I figured I’d give it a try.
I hope you won’t mind, but I thought I’d take a minute and introduce myself. I’m the EDJE Lady! You may have seen me around lately or heard about me thanks to the great people at EDJE Technologies. You see, I was presented with the opportunity to help promote EDJE products and services, and I took them up on the offer. I left my husband at home with our three children, Jimmy, Bobby and Mary Lynn and set out on the road. I’ve been to so many places and met so many nice people in the last few months. I just can’t even tell you about all the fun I’ve had! My travels have taken me to Denver, Fort Worth, Des Moines and even Washington D.C.! One last note before I end my blog for today. I don’t know if you’ve heard about it, but you really need to take a look at this new thing they call a website – mine includes pictures of me with friends from all the wonderful shows and events I’ve had the pleasure to attend. Oh and before I forget, here is the web address for my website: www.wheresedje.com. Well, I better get back to the ironing, and by golly it’s almost time to get dinner started! I look forward to meeting you down the road. I may be coming to a town near you soon! |

C.J. Brown has published her first “cattle log” of work. This project is something that she's wanted to accomplish for a long time and is excited to present it to you.
C.J. is frequently asked the question “Why do you paint cows?” {Especially from clients who previously collected her work prior to painting cattle.} Well, she credits her dad as a major reason, in that he planted that passion and interest in both her brothers and C.J. However in 2002, she had a traumatic event happen in her life which changed the course of things for her. Prior to that time, she had been painting wildlife and rural scenery. She had always wanted to do a cattle print and had done some cattle illustrations for a magazine, but never a print which she would market. Well, C.J. decided to paint a piece from the beautiful pasture of nearby Woodlawn Angus Farm at Creston, Illinois, whose owners were old family friends. In fact her dad had purchased his first Angus heifer from them in 1948. Thus, her first cattle print, “Grazing in the Grove,” evolved. As she indicated before, her life was going through a dark period, but when “Grazing in the Grove” came along, God truly showed her that when doors are shut he will open windows. Well, he opened a gigantic “Picture Window,” and from there her painting just took off. C.J. feels that she has been so blessed, not only by the talent and success that has been given to her, but by the many endearing friendships that have come from this “cattle painting career”.
C.J. chuckles everytime she's asked the question, “Why do you paint cows?” Well, because she's meant to. And so she dedicate this first “cattle log” to all of her family and friends who have supported her, and especially to all of you, who have enjoyed her work.
